Day Trips

Join us on Nusantara for daily dive and snorkel trips to Komodo National Park, departing 7 days a week for either 2-3 dives, or 2 dives and a visit to Rinca Island to see the famous dragons.  We’re licensed to carry 16 passengers and have maximum 4 divers per guide.

We start the day early in the morning at our dive centre in Labuan Bajo and head out to the boat to cruise to Komodo National Park.  Our boat crew and guides will set up your equipment on the way to the first dive site while you eat breakfast and get to know each other.  There’s a general briefing about the Park, safety briefing and then individual dive site briefings before we get ready for diving.

We always try to mix up the dive sites to get more variety, including going North for the current at some of our favorite dive sites, Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, and The Cauldron.  If we get requests for diving with mantas we usually go Central and dive Batu Bolong, Karang Makassar & Mawan.  Click here to read more about the different dive sites we visit.

We’re flexible with our schedule, and our Cruise Director will try to arrange the best possible diving experience for you, however the route taken will depend on weather, currents, tides and how busy the dive sites are.

As well as diving we also offer trips to Rinca Island to visit the world famous Komodo Dragons – you can combine  2 dives in the morning and after lunch visit Rinca for dragon spotting and a short hike to an amazing viewpoint.

Coming Soon – Conservation Dives

Coral Guardian

We’re proud to announce that we will be will soon be one of the few dive centres to offer day trips in association with Coral Guardian in the near future.  We are planning to offer this as a chartered trip where we can take up to 16 people to spend an amazing day on Nusantara and learn more about coral and the importance of a healthy coral reef.  We’ll go to Pulau Hatamin and have a presentation from a Coral Guardian representative about their coral restoration project around Labuan Bajo.  You can do 1 or 2 dives at the island where you’ll get involved and have the chance to help plant corals onto frames on the reef.

Restoration

You can choose to do either 2 dives, or 1 dive and a visit to nearby Rangko Cave.  There are also excellent opportunities to do the coral restoration dives by just snorkelling or freediving.  And the best part is that a proportion of the money you pay goes to the conservation project, so you learn something new while helping the environment!

Please let us know if you’d like more information on this.
