Komodo Daily Dive Trips

Join us on Nusantara for some of the best diving in Indonesia on daily dive trips to Komodo National Park, departing 7 days a week for either 2-3 dives, or 2 dives and a visit to Rinca Island to see the dragons.  We’re licensed to carry 16 passengers and have maximum 4 divers per guide.  We are one of the cheapest dive centres in Komodo but safety is still our priority.  Our boat is just over a year old and fully serviced, our equipment is new and regularly maintained and we have all the safety equipment we need on board including emergency oxygen, GPS, radios, flares, life jackets and first aid kits.

We start the day early in the morning at our dive centre in Labuan Bajo and head out to the boat to cruise to the best dive sites in the Komodo National Park.  Our boat crew and guides will set up your equipment on the way to the first dive site while you eat breakfast and get to know each other.  There’s a general briefing about the Park, safety briefing and then individual dive site briefings before we get ready for diving.

We always try to mix up the dive sites to get more variety, including going North for the current at some of our favorite dive sites, Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, and The Cauldron.  If we get requests for diving with mantas we usually go Central and dive Batu Bolong, Karang Makassar & Mawan.  Click here to read more about the different dive sites we visit.

We’re flexible with our schedule, and our Cruise Director will try to arrange the best possible diving experience for you, however the route taken will depend on weather, currents, tides and how busy the dive sites are.

As well as diving we also offer trips to Rinca Island to visit the world famous Komodo Dragons – you can combine  2 dives in the morning and after lunch visit Rinca for dragon spotting and a short hike to an amazing viewpoint.

Coming Soon – Conservation Dives

Coral Guardian

Coming soon Mikumba Diving will be offering coral restoration dives!  Working with Coral Guardian, a local NGO, you will have a chance to propagate coral and have a role in restoring an entire ecosystem.  The day will include 2 restoration dives and 1 exploratory fun dive.  With Mikumba Diving’s spacious day boat, Nusantara,  we will make the journey over to Pulau Hatamin where we’ll spend the day learning about corals, how to properly propagate them, and meet the locals that protect them everyday.  If you’re interested in more than fun diving we have the perfect day planned for you!

Restoration

There are also excellent opportunities to join the Coral Guardian speedboat to do coral restoration by snorkelling.  And the best part is that a proportion of the money you pay goes to the conservation project, so you learn something new while helping the environment!

Please let us know if you’d like more information on this.
